About this event

MSFF's featured speaker at its August 6 meeting will be Drew Ross. Drew is a U.S. Navy veteran currently residing in Southeast Arkansas with his wife Sarah and his two daughters. Drew's presentation will focus on kayak fishing. He purchased his first kayak in 2010 to help him explore more water in Arkansas, but he quickly learned that a kayak was something that allowed him to explore all types of water. He now travels and fly fishes across the country as often as possible. Drew shares his adventures through his "looknfishy" social media pages (https://www.facebook.com/looknfishy/ and https://www.instagram.com/looknfishy/). His fly fishing and fly tying videos can also be found on the Orvis, Simms and Jackson Kayak social media sites. During his presentation, Drew will discuss kayak safety, the types of kayaks that he finds best suited for fly anglers, gear and accessories that the kayaking angler might find useful, and destinations, both near and far, where angling from a kayak can be particularly effective.
