January 12 Freeze-Out at Cameron Brown Park

Published on 1/6/2019
MSFF's annual Freeze-Out will take place on Saturday, January 12, between 9:00 a.m. and noon at Cameron Brown Park in Germantown. The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency will be stocking trout in the Park's lake on Tuesday, January 8. The Freeze-Out affords members and those interested in fly fishing an opportunity for fellowship and fishing for  seven- to ten-inch trout close to home. Those wishing to fish must have a valid Tennessee fishing license and trout permit. Because the banks of the lake are wooded, roll casting will be the order of the day. Flies that may prove effective include micro jigs and micro trout magnets. Look for us at or in the vicinity of the pavilion on the lake and bring a friend.
